FACT 52: Don't Doubt that he got Gout!

Nostradamus, a French apothecary and reputed seer who published collections of prophecies that have since become famous worldwide, died of gout. His gout developed into oedema, which is an accumulation of fluid under the skin in one or more cavities of the body. It is a bit more severe than gout. On the evening of July 1, it is said that he told his secretary Jean de Chavigny, "You will not find me alive at sunrise." The next morning he was found dead. He certainly didn't doubt that he got gout!
